SEF-Energietechnik GmbH was one of the first companies that all over Germany successfully developed customised concepts for the passive landfill gas disposal to application stage. Due to special landfill gas distributor layers which are positioned between drainage layer and surface layer, up to 50 m³/h of gas can be disposed from surface-sealed landfills, without residual. If the layer was properly dimensioned, positioned and designed, a nearly complete oxidation of the landfill gas is possible, even in the winter months. More than 10 successfully realised projects, at which a continuous measuring support and evaluation of results is carried out, speak for themselves. The costs of secondary landfill-maintenance can be reduced and subsequent aeration of the landfill body can be warranted.
